Photography Evolutions
Evolution
It took several years after brain cancer to relearn photography — the cameras, Lightroom, and techniques.
During this traumatic time in my life, I found Nature to be the most soothing. I would just grab my camera, and my service dog, Maui, and start driving into the parks, meadows, and beaches.

Evolution II
Once I had relearned photography again, I became more fascinated by color and contrast because color was the first element that I saw when I regained my sight after brain cancer.
Then capturing colors and contrasts became my goal. Colors set the tone and mood of the photograph, it’s more important than textures and patterns, and often lines.

Evolution III
Recently, I bought a new Nikon (Zfc) and started an exploration into black and white photography. Architecture lends itself nicely to black and white.
I’ve also been examining darker themes and using a new technique that adds texture to an image.
